Konica Copy Machines

Many businesses manage documents on a daily basis. Printing is one of the most common tasks that businesses do in order to put their digital documents in physical form. There is also a lot of scanning and copying for businesses that need to do the opposite. Even faxing continues to be a common practice despite its traditional nature. These basic tasks require numerous devices from a printer to a scanner and fax machine. Fortunately, there are multifunction or all-in-one printers that are designed to save space while handle the common functions. The problem is that some devices fall short in specific areas while other multifunction printers have different strengths and weaknesses. Konica Minolta has a rather pricey offering that hopes to stay strong in all of its primary functions.

The 4695MF has a rather friendly control panel that resembles a copier. It has a clear display that is capable of displaying up to 20 characters and 4 lines. Combined with the various buttons, the 4695MF can be used as a standalone device. Performance and Features

Thanks to its Emperon Print System which consists of a 500 MHz processor and 256MB memory (upgradable to 768 MB), the Konica Minolta Magicolor 4695MF can print its first page in just 18 seconds.

Printing multiple pages averages about 25 PPM which is decent for a business class printer. It even has a Gigabit Ethernet port which is important for other computers in the network to execute speedy print operations.

The 4695MF is designed with multitasking in mind thanks to its reversing automatic document feeder which reduces the need to micromanage if lots of copies need to be printed. It also has a built-in duplexer which allows both sides of the paper to be printed which makes multiple page printing much faster while saving valuable paper.

Quality isn’t sacrificed with the Magicolor 4695MF because it uses a special toner which Konica Minolta calls the Simitri HD toner. This allows black and coloured printing at 9600 x 600 resolutions, which should meet the standards of design companies that need to churn out fast outputs. Scanning performance is also decent as it scans legal sized documents quickly and offers the added function to email or transfer to an FTP site. The ScanSoft PaperPort utilities add customisation to the scanning process. The 33.6 Kbps fax function is very convenient as it allows up to 220 programmable speed dials as well as 20 group dials for faster operation. The PageScope Utilities also add value to the package as it helps new business owners and administrators in managing the printer’s functions as well as adding remote administration.

The 4695MF sells for about £599.00 which is pricey but should bring a lot of convenience to medium and large businesses.
